Yellow - Version 2.5

From some 2.5 inch strips you can cut some approximately 22 inch pieces and end up with eight 8 inch kaleidoscope blocks and one leftover kaleidoscope block (upper right) ...

...and with the other 18 inches of the 2.5 inch strip (plus white strips)  you will end up with some 6 inch Cracker blocks.

With some other 2.5 inch bits and pieces I combined with some neutral scraps and made some HSTs that I then made into 8 inch Depression blocks.

I made a few more lozenges from 2.5 x 5 inch pieces.

And finally, from 2.5 inch scraps...I made some 6 inch Twinkler blocks and some miscellaneous 4 inch blocks that will probably be made into some donation quilts at year end.

Got Scraps?
Use them.. Then show us what you've made each ScrapHappy Saturday

Wow!!! That's some MAJOR yellow sewing. I may not even get that much done in the whole MONTH of yellow!! Nice work.

Some people collect repros, plaids etc. Now I find myself collecting fabric "that Cathy would use."

Goodness! You really know how to use up 2.5" scraps! I haven't even started my yellows. Good for you--they all look real cute.

Love your blog and those blocks! Could you tell me how you use your 2 1/2 inch strips to make your kaleidoscope blocks? I'm a "noreply". I would be ever so grateful if you could send me a link or a note. Thank you! Toni toniamacaroni4@gmail.com

So many great blocks. I am amazed that you keep coming up with enough scraps for all those blocks. Fabulous!

You have some really fun yellow blocks up on your design wall. I have to ask, did these make any kind of dent in your scrap stash?

Thanks for sharing how you used your 2.5 inch strips. I am just starting to learn about using precuts! Such a great way to get variety without a big investment.
