And Then There Were Eight...

...crumby orange stars.  If I had any kind of design wall I would show last week's stars as well as this week's stars all in one picture.  (Here's where I wish upon a star).  These are 12 inch stars and will go into a donation quilt for Wrap-A-Smile.  I think I have enough orange scraps for 4 more stars. (Surprise, surprise - I haven't been an orange admirer since the 70s when orange/peach/apricot painted walls were in vogue). Orange is this month's color for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. Join us if you have some orange scraps. There's a linky party so you can show off what gorgeous orangeness you whip up.

This is my plan also. For my 2nd week of orange scraps, I made crumb blocks also. They will go into a better plan for a complete block, just as you have done. I love stitching crumb blocks - absolutely NO StreSS or Rules!

You NEED a design wall...and it's fun! I will make a wish for you, and hope that the orange quilting fairy makes it happen for you!

I'm so glad for a computer which for me is the substitute for a design wall.... Since in my entire house I do not have a single wall that is not covered with precious treasures (sorta). Ger

Even orange looks new again when combined in such pretty star blocks.

The black background sets off the orange so well. Your comment about orange in the 70's made me smile. In the 70's, my bedroom had yellow and orange Holly Hobby wallpaper on one wall, bright yellow paint on the other three walls, and orange carpeting.

orange admirer or not, your stars look great. Hope you get that design wall, I use the floor but have to watch for the dog.

Pretty stars! I too use the floor for my design wall.... I just have to watch for cats and kids that think they need to 'help'.

The crumb centres look really great in the stars, definitely a technique to keep in mind.
